Getting excited and apprehensive

Leaving tonight for Texas for Spring Break and then off to New Mexico on Sunday to meet my Biological father.  Jim and the girls will stay in Texas with my Sister in Law, while Mike and I go to meet Charlie.  I'm excited and hopefull that it will go well.  But you just never know.

I am NOT looking forward to the long drive tonight, and then again on Sunday, and Wednesday and Sunday again.... I think I will need a vacation when I get back from my vacation....

It really was a great trip....

Meeting Charlie went well.  He seems to be a pretty nice guy.  He is straightforward, no bs about being someone he isn't which I like.  He does still miss my Mother, which is obvious when he talks about her.  He, Mike and Jim spent tons of time talking military stuff (the common link for them).  He did come back with us to Texas and meet the grandkids.  I cannot express how it made me feel to see him being a grandfather to my girls who haven't really had one on my side.  He played with them, flew kites, loved on them etc....  He hates crowds but went along everywhere Karah wanted to go for her birthday (playground, skating rink) without a peep because he wanted to be with the kids.

I'm tired... but posting lots of pics.

Back to the grind
