Dropping HCG Levels?

I aplolgize for not lurking first and searching for other topics but I'm at work and posting from my phone.

I got my blood test back that revealed I was pregnant and then the 2-day follow up showed that my hcg levels dropped instead of doubling. The nurse told me I'm going to miscarry and once it's all over to give them a call to make sure my hcg levels are 0. I don't have any spotting now... I did have very light spotting at first when I should have had my period but that's it.

Any experiences with hcg levels that dropped during early pregnancy?

After some research I'm kind of upset that my obgyn didn't discuss progesterone levels as I've been trying to conceive for more than a year and have a 23 day cycle. Any thoughts on that would be helpful too.

Yes, but I miscarried.  I'm sorry not to have better news. :(

<3 thank you
I'm still not showing signs of miscarrying which is driving me crazy... of course I want to have a healthy pregnancy but if that's not going to happen I'd like to grieve and move on. The more I think/read about it the more irritated I get that my progesterone levels weren't checked. Doesn't help that my obgyn was pretty cold about the whole thing and has made other mistakes so I have a hard time trusting her.

Maybe it's time to look into another OB/GYN.  ((hugs))

It's always a good idea to look for second opinion and having another OB/GYNE is I think the best option you have right now.
