We've grilled three or four times.  We've had burgers, chicken and fish bbqed so far this spring.  We're planing on grilling steaks tonight or tomorrow as well.

Yep, we have grilled a few times... Chicken, Steaks, burgers and dogs :)

We've only grilled once. I used to do it more but The grill was on fire last year (or maybe the year before) so now I'm a whole lot less likly to grill out if Kev's not home or close to home.

You have a lot of things to divide your attention anyway and the grill takes all of it, so I totally understand. I don't know if I would grill alone with kids either.

I used to grill a lot but my wife told me to refrain from it. We have a friend who was diagnosed with colon cancer and he blamed it all to his grilling habit. I still grill though at least once in two months.

We grill year round.

Ward-why would grilling cause colon cancer?

Krista.... supposedly charcoal releases carcinogens.  But I think just living is a carcinogen anymore  :)

I should have added that we grill out year round too if we really want to.  Jim has lit the grill in a snowstorm before.

You can still grill, Ward.  Here's an article on it:  To Grill or Not to Grill - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8499202/ns/health-diet_and_nutrition/

I can only take these cancer warnings so far, before living stops being fun.  We grill mostly chicken and fish with the occasional steaks and burgers.  Besides, I usually try to wait until the coals aren't flaming and just gray anyway.  We usually do the whole meal including vegetables on the grill.  I just wish I had a bigger grill.

That was a great article Lenora. We only grill pork and fish. Not a big fan of grilled chicken meat. I think I should start grilling veggies too.

Good to know that you can lessen the risk of cancer while still enjoying your favorite grilled food. Never thought lower temperature while grilling can do that.

You can read Lenora's link about that. Pretty good article.
