So I'm new to this but they say writing things down helps you address hurtful situations. so I guess I will start at the beginning bare with me it's a longish story......
On the 17th of march I got a positive opk so we did the bd. I new about 6 days later I was pregnant. I don't know how I just did. I guess I was more in-tune with my body than I thought. 3 days later I got my bfp I was ecstatic and so was my lovely partner. That's when the trouble started.......
Two days after I got my bfp I started to bleed. I felt something was wrong but put it down to the fact that every female in my family has bled through Their pregnancies. I week later I had a strong stabbing pain on my right side and the bleeding started again. Figuring I was miscarrying I called the nhs line for advise. The said go straight to hospital so I did. I was seen pretty quickly by the emergency staff then sent to a gyno ward to wait for a specialist. They did the usual checks and admitted me. The day after I had a scan and an internal scan but as I was so early nothing was seen or as I had guessed I had miscarried. they sent me home after taking blood test then arranged to see me the following week. I went on as if I had miscarried went to my appointment for scans and again nothing was seen I would have been 5 weeks. The consultant took more blood sent me home and said they would call that day with the results. I got the call 3 hours later......
They said I was still pregnant my levels were higher and at 3500 and they should have been able to see the baby with those hcg levels. I had to go straight back to the hospital and was admitted for tests. I was in for 5 days they took blood daily and it was still rising but not enough so again put down to miscarriage and sent home with a follow up appointment... I woke up the next morning in terrible pain. I couldn't move let alone walk. My partner took me to a&e straight away. The paracetamol I had taken wasn't stopping the pAin or even easing it. When we got to the hospital they admitted me straight back on the ward I had come from only 12 hours previously. They gave me codeine for the pain. Didn't work. Then morphine was administered to try and numb the pain till I could get a scan. Morphine didn't work either. They called the emergency specialist who decided I wasn't waiting for a scan. She gave me pethadine and decided she wanted to take me to surgery to see what was going on.
I woke up 3 hours later. It took them that long to wake me up because of the cocktail of drugs I had been given to numb the pain. Anyway I woke to find out it was an ectopic pregnancy and they had removed my right tube. Apparently I had amazed the surgeon and hospital staff as I displayed no typical signs of an ectopic pregnancy and my tube had started to rupture 3 days b4. I had a whole the size of a 10 pence piece in my tube. I was also resistant against the drugs they were giving me. The emptiness and pain I felt after wad much worse for me. I am grateful that it was found when it was as I'm still alive and it could have killed me.
That was 7 weeks ago.
Well here I am today. I haven't had af since the op. A nurse friend of mine told me to do a test just to check and see if I was pregnant. I must add it had only been 8 days since we'd had sex as I hadn't felt up to it before. So I had a few tests at home and thought oh well couldn't hurt. I did the cheap tests first. A faint line. I thought it was an evaporate line so I did the expensive clear blue digital conception predictor test...... 1-2 weeks pregnant. I called my doctor straight away as I didnt know and still don't know if it was just remains of hcg from my ectopic. The doctor said she thinks it could possibly be a new pregnancy as I shouldn't still be retaining the hormone from b4 as it's been 7 weeks but can't rule it out as I haven't been typical all the way through this. She's made an appointment for Thursday to see her.
So there you go that's my story so far. Sorry it's so long but like I said I needed to jot it down.
I'm non the wiser and in complete limbo :-(
