I want to try to make potato bread in my bread maker, however the recipe calls for potato starch, which I have been unable to find. Can I use corn starch, in its place the same 3 tbl and will it change, the taste noticeably?

I will have to ask my dh, but I think potato starch is just instant mashed potato flakes.  You can also get it ground up at health food stores.  Welcome to Baby U!

I looked it up.  You can substitute corn starch for potato starch.  However, you can find potato starch in the kosher or gluten free sections of some grocery stores.  Here's a link to a page for potato bread made with instant mashed potatoes:  http://www.food.com/recipe/potato-bread-using-instant-potato-and-dry-milk-77284

This recipe looks like all the ingredients are either already in your cupboard or easy to find - not to mention cheap.
