I had a fantastic Thanksgiving.  Steve cooked probably the best turkey and fixings I think I ever had.  My Uncle John is the most amazing house guest ever.  While he was here, he cleaned my gutters.     He said  "Everybody has a different idea of fun said the old lady as she kissed the cow."  I can't believe my uncle even knew a dirty joke.    He said he couldn't stand to see those leaves hanging out of the gutter.  Then he said they were mainly filled with shingles and there weren't many leaves.  I told him that ( overflowing gutters)  was my strategy and he was ruining it for me. 

We hit the sales and got the Christmas tree of my dreams on sale, of course.    It's huge.  I love it!  But it did take a long time to put together.  We got the tree decorated, but we were too tired to do any more.  Then, the girls and Steve video chatted with his family for a couple of hours.  Cate fell asleep in the middle of it.

I did a little online shopping for the rest of the girls' Christmas, but that was it.  They aren't getting a lot this year.  I am sick of buying stuff and getting rid of it in a couple of months.  It just seems like a waste of money.  I had already gotten the girls American girl doll clones and a fijit and Cars 2 for Cate.  I got Cara a disney princess laptop educational toy and a Holly Hobbie movie.  What did you get your kids?

I rented Cars 2 from Netflix and Cate would barely let me return it.  I'm pretty sure that will be a hit.  The movie is entirely about Mater. 

I liked it, but they didn't.  Go figure.  I had to make them watch it.
