I've lost almost 25lbs since the end of January. I use www.myfitnesspal.com to log my food. I try to stay withing 1200 calories a day unless I exercise. I go to Yoga once a week and Zumba 1-2x a week. I would love to workout more but since I clean houses I feel tired a lot.

I have been charting my food intake at fitday.com which Dawn recommended years ago.  I'm trying to stay between 1200 and 1700 calories.  My goal is to lose weight slowly or I will have floppy, loose skin everywhere.  I've lost 26 lbs since Christmas.

Krista, household chores inside and out burn more calories than you think.  I push mow my lawn 2 or 3 times a week and that's 5 calories a minute burned.  It takes me about four hours to mow, weed eat and sweep on a good day and I find I have burned several hundred calories.  Outside the gym exercise can burn just as many calories as traditional workouts.  Speaking of that, the recent severe wind storm left my yard and driveway covered in limbs and branches.  Time to get some more of that yard work exercise in!  :o)

You are absolutely right, Lenora! Yardwork especially burns a lot of calories. If I have an expecially long and exhausting day of cleaning then I may log a couple of hrs so that I can have more calories that day. I just got my fitbit (www.fitbit.com) today so it should give me a more accurate reading of how many calories I am burning a day which should help me in the long run with losing. I usually only lose 1-2lbs a week. The first week or two I lost up to 5lbs but that is only because I had such a dramatic change in the amount of calories I was consuming.

Sorry about your yard...just think of all the calories you will be burning when you hafta clean it all up again ;)

eek.gif I worked an hour and a half  and I only got the front yard done.  The real damage is in the backyard.  Such is life in the plains.  At least we didn't get the forecasted tornadoes only lots of wind and almost no rain.  icon13.gif I was hoping for a good drenching for my garden.  Gardening uses depressingly few calories.

Oh it looks like dh has Celiac's and I recently found out I have a rhino allergy to wheat as well.  Going wheatfree seems to be helping.  It's such a pain though.  Not to mention expensive.
