Chattering

Does anyone else have a child who constantly chatters? Jean has started this habit as of about a month ago and it is doing my head in.

Im torn as to whether its just an annoying habit he has developed, or if its him trying to be heard over his siblings, none of my other kids have done this, trust me, theyre all chatterboxes, but when theyve spoken, 9 out of 10 times, its been about something, not nothing. And they also tend to stop to breathe. 

Its constant, with everyone, me, DH, Nan and Pop, his Kinder teacher has mentioned it, his brother and sisters, to the cats, to himself.

As an example, I was ironing the girls' school pants earlier, Sasha was sitting under the ironing board going
"Bleep bleep cookies I like cookies there are two windows im going to count the tiles 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 im bored now I like sandwiches with peanut butter I have two feet we have four cats there are stars in the sky tap tap tap tap drip drip sometimes the tap drips"

When I put him to bed I stood outfront his bedroom door for a while and he was talking himself to sleep. Its really quite peculiar. 

Ive tried asking him about it but he dosent seem to understand what im saying to him, he cant seem to differentiate between talking and constant chattering.

Yes!  It's really annoying, however, I guess one expects it more out of a girl.  However, I have learned some interesting things like I should not let her watch Power Rangers.  LOL!
