Baby Bjorn Potty Chair

Potty training is one of the biggest challenges a parent (and child) faces. Make it easier with a potty chair that is comfortable and fun to use. The Baby Björn Potty Chair is a perfect potty on which a child can sit comfortably for as long as necessary. The inner potty is easily removed to empty and clean. Made of durable, PVC-free recyclable plastic and standing 12 inches tall, you can put one in every bathroom of the house. --Terri Shea

Training Rewards Soft Seat Potty & Stepstool

This multifunctional potty seat offers just about every feature a parent would want when beginning the daunting process of toilet training. Designed to serve as both a portable potty and a step stool, this unit is the kind that will accommodate toddlers as they develop. The all-in-one unit has a soft, cushioned seat (with a side handle) that sits firmly on a sturdy base containing a removable, easy-to-empty toilet bowl. A detachable deflector at the front of the seat helps to toilet-train boys. When the seat lid is down, the toilet becomes a handy step stool that can be used long after training has ended. As kids progress, the detachable toilet seat can be used on the adult toilet. Once again, the convenient side handle makes it an easier transition. Kids will love the included rewards stickers that provide an extra incentive to master this civilizing skill.

Graco Folding Potty Seat

Potty-training toddlers and their parents can use any toilet they find with this portable potty seat. The hinged seat unfolds to fit most toilets and can be refolded to slip into a diaper bag or a purse. It's about the size of a paperback and comes with a self-sealing storage bag. The folded design is easy to use, but parents must make sure the hinges are fully open to avoid pinched skin. This beige plastic seat wipes up with a sponge.

Potty 'n Step Stool

This potty is exceptionally sturdy and comes assembled for use as a standalone potty out of the box. Simply open the lid (and snap the front shield into place if it's being used by a boy), then tilt the seat up to reveal the bowl; it slides out for easy cleaning. When your child is ready, you can remove the seat for use on the toilet, and the arms provide extra security. Once the seat is removed, you can flip the base out to form a step stool. Included is a booklet with tips on potty training in English, Spanish, and French.

We bought the Potty 'N Step Stool (by Safety 1st) for Alexander. It is really sturdy - Alexander has carried it everywhere since Billy showed him how to use it as a step stool, so we know it works that way very well. He also likes sitting on it pretending he's going potty, but refuses to actually try it out yet. Hopefully one day soon!!
