I got this from The Tightwad Gazette By Amy Dacyczyn. We are going to do it this year!
You are having a small party with about 10 people. You need a few balls of white string and 10 prizes. You tie an end of string abound a prize and hide it. Then you unroll the ball of string and wind it around the room, wrapping it taut around chair legs, door knobs, window hardware, etc. Make a complex design. The string should not be loose on the floor. Tie the other end around a stick or small piece of cardboard. Repeat until you have made 10 string trails that crisscross and tangle up together. Design your game so that all the trails begin near the door. WHen your guests arrive they get their own stick to wind their string on as they follow their trail!. (Naturally, when you finish the Spider Web Game, you must save the string!)
