The Bell House and Cave According to the annals of supernatural history, the story of the Bell Witch started in 1817 when the Bell family, prosperous farmers from Tennessee, began experiencing strange phenomena in their home. First, the house was plagued with knocking and rapping noises and scratching sounds.

The old Slave House of Hickory Hill This mansion marks one of the only places where slavery existed legally in Illinois and is today believed to be haunted by the ghosts of slaves who were imprisoned and mistreated there. Located near Junction, Illinois.

Bachelor's Grove Cemetary Believed to be the most haunted place in the Chicago area, this abandoned and desecrated cemetery boast more than 100 documented paranormal events. Located near Midlothian, Illinois.

Here is another one----Haunted Alton, IL

This is where dh works. The bukiding that he office is in was built in the late 1800's and many claim that it is haunted. I do know that being in there late at night is very creepy!!
