How early do you send invitations out?

Okay we are having Christian's birthday party July 28th. Do I send the invitations out 2-3 weeks early. I am never good at judging when to send them out.

We are having a big bonfire, cook out for his party. And are probably on decorating with balloons and stuff. Right now I don't see the point in decorating to much. We are getting his cake done at Walmart with Scooby I think and he will have Scooby invitations and that is about it. Does that sound okay for a1st birthday. I mean we also don't have a tremendous amount to spend on decorations.

Wendy sounds great. Wish I could be there to share it with you and Christian. I send invites out at least 2 weeks early so people can mark it on their calendars. I haven't even been here that long at Baby U and he is turning 1 Wah!

Den does feel like he missed so much of Christian's life. I feel badly for that but we are just thankful he will be here for the rest of it now.

I am excited that he is turning one. I loved him being a baby but am looking forward to what comes next. Okay I know you must all think I am crazy. I am not at all upset that he is turning one because even though he is going to be a big boy he will always be my baby

I am not quite sure what Den thinks about it. He is one of those people who will just be thankful when the party is all over and everyone goes home

Wendy that is how I fell about Alisha, doesn't matter the age, she will always be my baby.

I am glad Den will be there for now on. Thankful that he didn't miss to much of his precious son's life. I can't even image what it would of been like to be sent off to war and not be able to watch your kids grow up.

Sounds like a great party :~) For Evan's first birthday I mailed invites 2 weeks before and that worked out well. I think Scooby is so cute, I did Mickey for his first but for his second I am doing Scooby.

It sounds like great 1st birthday~ I hope we get to see pictures of Christian digging into his cake!

Have Fun

Wendy,

I'm with them-2 weeks before is usually a good time. I sent my sons 3 weeks early because of it being so close to July 4--I knew people would be making plans Sounds like a great party; we are doing Peyton's in Elmo, I'm not doing the whole decorating thing either. For one, we can't afford it; and for two, he won't care about all that right now anyway. Good luck on the party planning
