my 8 month old is severly constipated, is there anything i can do for him? Also, is it ok for him to eat yogurt, because dh was eating it, and my son was trying so hard to getit, so dh gave him some, quite a bit actually, and i'm worried that it will make him sick.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You might try giving him some apple juice. Or a few bites of baby prunes. DON'T give him the whole jar.

I had this problem with my ds- we used baby prune juice- about 2-3 oz worked for us. In a pinch, we have also used baby pear juice.

HTH !

try prunes in teh jar.....give him more fruit....if he seems to tolerate the yogurt ok then it should be fine to have it......he can also start iwth things like cottage cheese and such....its the best way to know he can tolerate dairy when it is time to introduce milk

he pooped!

i guess the yogurt did the trick because when he woke up this morning, he cried really hard for a minute but then stopped and about five minutes later the fumes just about nocked me over.
