Has anyones Spouse been in either of these fields. my DH is in the process of changing his MOS. I agree he needs to change 11B (infantry) is killing his body. But I don't know much about CID. I use to work for The Recruiters so I think i can handle that but not sure about CID. So if anyone know about these jobs please pass the word on. Or if you know what it takes to be the spouse?? Not that it could be anyworse then Infantry.

Thanks you gals

I bet Liz will be able to help you cause she is a recruiter!

All I have heard about recruiting is that it is very time consuming and requires a lot of long hours. Good luck to your dh on getting out of the infantry. I understand it is very grueling physically.

Liz, this may help you. I asked my dh about it. He said CID was like the Air Force's OSI. Criminal Investigation Division. Sounds like an investigator to me, but I don't know much about the Army way.

Did you and your dh reach a decision about which careerfield he wanted to cross train into?

Well I think he is goingto drop his packet for recruiting for 2 years then see where he stand. He will need to finish some more college credits for CID. So that will give him some time. Thanks again for all your info and support.

Good luck with whatever he decides! Court was in personnel and then reclassed and now is doing "computer stuff" and he really loves it. Liz the CID is kind of like the FBI of the Army. Have you seen the movie The General's Daughter or read the book? John Travolta (I think that is who it was) was with the CID. best reference I can think of this early.
