Shots

Thread Starter
Since Jonathan was sick at his last appointment/check-up, the doctor said that he didn't want to give him the shots he was supposed to get then. So, he said we'd wait and catch them up at the next appointment, which is today.

Has anyone else had a child that had to have two rounds of shots at once? Were they more grouchy than usual after that? I am really dreading this.

Do you mean that he'd be getting two of the same shot? (For example, two polio shots today)

I don't think they will give two doses of one shot in one day?!?! I think you will have to come back another day for the second dose. However, he may get several others. I would think that he'd be a little extra grumpy if they give him extra shots!!

poor thing!!

I was thinking the same thing. Our pediatrician says they have to wait several months between each dose for it to be effective. My kids always got about four shots at one time, but they were all for different things.

I do not think they will give him two rounds. You will just be behind on his shots is all and it is no problem. Next time you might see if you can make an appointment to come back so you do not get off schedule.
