Swollen eye lid

Last night, I felt like I was running a little bit of a fever. Usually the way I can tell is that I get really tired and sleepy, but when I close my eyes, they start burning--like my eyelids are burning my eyes. Anyhow. Well, I've got the burning eyelid thing going on, but I don't really feel bad. Well, this morning when I woke up, my right eyelid is all puffed up. The left one is fine. My eyes aren't red, or anything, but my eyelid is swollen like crazy. I didn't think I was going to be able to open it to begin with, but the swelling went down before I left home, and it is continuing to go down, but it's still swollen.

I know there are probably a million things that could cause your eyelids to swell up, like aclogged tear duct or something, but if you are extremely tire and sleep extremely hard, could that cause it, too?

When I'm over tired it happens to me too. Maybe put a cold wet cloth on it for a while and see if it goes down. You also should get checked for conjuntavitis if it gets weepy.

Thanks! It's still feeling a little swollen, but it looks normal. I've been on the lookout for the weepy stuff, but nothing yet.

It could also be a sty( a pimple on the eyelid). There is over the counter meds for stys or you could do like I do find where it is really swollen then pop the bad boy. It hurts like he$$ but it gets rid of it asap.
