Vitamins

I've heard mixed opinions about vitamins and breast milk. Are they safe to take? I'm thinking of taking just a simple vitamin everyday such as a Centrum multi-vitamin, but some sources I've read say not to take vitamins.

My doctor suggests that you take something .. even when not breastfeeding. He just mentioned to me, not to take something with too much Iron. I just take 2 Flintstone vitamins a day.

I think a "One A Day" type vitamin would be fine!!

I know that it is recommended that you take your prenatal while breastfeeding.

I would think that vitamins woudl be a great idea while bfing because otherwise you lose your baby gets a lot of your nutrients in the milk and you lose out

I still take vitamins, when I remember. I know when I've forgotten though. My energy level goes way down.
