When Michael was a year old we used a certificate we won at a Harvest festival for Chuckie Cheese.

We invited my parents and we enjoyed eating pizza and watching Tim and Michael play games. Michael still could not walk yet so Tim was carrying him and holding him up while they danced on piano keys that played music as you stepped on them.

Afterwards, we went home to enjoy the Birthday cake Tim ordered for Michael. It was a Winnie the Pooh cake! I made a large homemade sign with Poster board and We let Michael try to open his gifts.

We had a party at home....invited all the family and friends and we had 2 cakes.....one was picture perfect, double layered with red velvet on bottom and carrot cake on top with cream cheese icing and decorated just beautiful!!! It had a total of 20 different characters from Big Bird to Blues Clues...the cake was a gift from his Memo and Grandma....we also had a smaller homemade cake for him to dig his hands into!!!

It was a lot of fun despite the bickering among inlaws

I would love a big party when he was one, but I am waiting until Michael's 4th birthday for that! We are planning either a Blues Clues Party or Safari Party.

Hopefuly I 'll have some plans before his birthday in December.

On the actual day of Alexander's 1st birthday, me and Billy took him to the zoo. For his party, we had family and friends over for a Fireman/Firetruck birthday. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and had strawberry royale ice cream and a firetruck cake for dessert.

Alexander was the neatest kid!! We tried to get him to dig in but he was not going to make a mess - he hates to have his hands dirty. He opened a few of his gifts, but was more interested in playing with the other kids so mom ended up opening most of them.

It was a fun day!!

It was just last month, so memories are still fresh in my mind! We had a bunch of family and friends over to our new house. There were alot of kids, so we had voleyball, horseshoes (for the men!), a swing set and a baby pool set up. Jenna had a blast with all the kids. We had two cakes. One big Winnie the Pooh for everyone to share, and one small plain cake for her to dig into, and boy did she! It was alot of fun for everyone!

For Rachelle's 1st I did her party in Disney Princess! We had the party at Mom and Dad's. I had her cake made at Walmart...it came with a crown and scepter! We had ice cream and chips as well, I believe! She got so many presents that day, too, but she didn't care about that. We had a great time, plus I was with Issac then, but no one knew. I didn't either for sure, but I had my suspicions!

We took Mykayla to Florida, drove all the way there, and she was an angel. We took her to daytona beach for the day and chased the seagulls and walked on the beach. It was quite a trip because we live in Toronto. We decided to go to Florida and visit my grandparents who lived in Fla during the winter months.

I was wrong!! We took Alexander to the beach on the day of his 1st birthday. The zoo was his 2nd. Boy, it's only been a couple of years and already I've forgotten. Bad mommy!!

Elizabeth will be a year old in August so we are planning a weekend at the beach. Just the 3 of us. I plan to have a cake, balloons, streamers and all of the party favors. I would like to have a BIG party, but we live about 3 hours from our family and I knew not all of them would drive to our house. So we are going to have a small party for Elizabeth and this will be her first time at the beach.

For all three of Joey's birthdays so far, we invite all the family to a park near our house, and grill burgers and dogs, I bake a cake, and we all sit around and picnic. We have a giant green army tarp we lay out, and all the gifts go there, and that's where he opens presents after everyone has eaten. There's two playgrounds right near the spot we always pick, and as long as at least one adult is with the kids, I'm comfortable with them going to either one.

It helps, of course, that his birthday is in August, and that the park is less than a half mile from the house. And the best part is . . . I don't have to clean my house to have the families over!
