I saw this on Style Channel, it looked so cute.
They made table cloths out of felt, cutting out a circle for the middle of a flower and then another color for petals that hung off the tables.
Baked individual cakes for each party goer in small terra cotta pots lined with tin foil, filled 3/4 way with batter and baked. Then take a fresh flower, wrap the stem in tin foil and insert into the cake once baked. Frost with chocolate frosting and top with crushed oreos to resemble soil.
Take snowballs (hostess makes them) line them up together to make a caterpiller cake. Take pipecleaners to make the legs and anteneas. Take a bite, or cut out a mouth area in the first one. Put on a table.
Decorate a food table by taking a piece of plywood on cinder blocks (to make eye level for the little ones) Cover the plywood with astro turf (whatever the green stuff is people put on back porches...) and put the caterpiller cake on it.
Make a watermelon critter by cutting out the top of a watermelon, scrape out the insides, take bananas, cut in half and attach with toothpicks as legs. I think they had 6 legs. Take two lemons and cut in half. Use each half and attach with toothpicks for eyes. Take grapes to use as pupils. Fill with fruit and put on table.
Make bee balloons... Get bright yellow balloons and cut out wings from construction paper and attach to balloons. Take black crepe paper and wrap around once to make bee line. Draw on a face.
