Locker room cameras

A Tennessee middle school allowed security cameras to film children undressing in locker rooms and then stored the images on a computer accessible through the Internet, according to a lawsuit filed by a group of angry parents. The lawsuit filed last week in federal court in Nashville seeks $4.2 million in damages. The parents contend the school system violated students' rights by putting hidden cameras in boys and girls locker rooms at Livingston Middle School. The cameras reportedly captured students, ages 10-14, in various stages of undress...

When I was in middle school at a HUGE public school in FL there was a very large problem with theft, especially while everyone was out at PE, etc.

They put in cameras to stop it and catch people in the act.

BUT....

To put it on the internet????? That's just sick!

WHAT?!?!?!?!

William Needham, director of Overton County Schools, said the assistant principal has been transferred to another school in the system.
That is unbelievable. He should have been transferred to a cell in levenworth.

Chalos said he doesn't know if the cameras are still operating.
They're kidding, right?! They may still be videotaping child porn and storing where it's accessible by every pervert out there? I'd take my child out immediately and sue their pants off (no pun intended).

There was a problem with theft at my high school so they locked the locker rooms and nobody was allowed in until it was unlocked by the coach before class. You had to meet for roll call outside and then when all the classes attendance had been taken, everyone was allowed in at one time. A more sensible solution than cameras. The rationale behind the camera installation sounds like a lame excuse to defend someones pervy fetish.
