Chattanooga, TN, Sunday, July 6, 2003 - For 26-year-old Karen Stoll, cutting the cord was about dollars and sense.

"It was just money being thrown out the door," the Fort Oglethorpe resident said of her now-disconnected home telephone line.

Two months ago Mrs. Stoll and her family joined an estimated 7.5 million Americans who have canceled their home telephone service to be all cellular all the time.

"It really hasn't made much difference in people being able to communicate with us," Mrs. Stoll said.
