Sign Stirs Controversy

A sign in Estill County is causing quite a debate over good and evil. It reads, "Harry Potter Is Of The Devil" and points to scripture.

The sign went up about three weeks ago. A minister at a local church is the voice behind the words, saying he was called by God to help people understand the truth behind the fictitious Harry Potter series of books.

Bill Wesley of the Body of Christ Church is behind the sign. "God takes that serious. Witchcraft and sorcery--He takes that very serious. People say this (The Bible) is just a book. But this nation was founded on this book (The Bible). Now, they're trying to plant other books in our children's minds."

I thought it was um, ironic that the minister's name is Bill Weasley!!

But, yes, I agree. The more fuss they make, the more people want to read it. I mean other than Rox talking Harry all the time, the reason I read the books myself was to see what the hype was about.
