A 26-year-old man was charged with felony rape and sexual abuse after meeting an 11-year-old girl on the Internet and taking her to a motel room, police said.

Cory Knoth, of Catskill, was arrested Friday by State Police at his parent's home, where he lived. Troopers questioned him for several hours before he was arraigned in Colonie at 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Police said Knoth admitted having sex with the girl.

Knoth told investigators he arranged a date with the girl online, but thought she was older, Colonie police Lt. Joseph Fitzsimmons said.


The Delmar girl was reported missing by her mother Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday she called her aunt's home, saying she was in a hotel room by herself. Knoth had taken the girl to the Lawrence Motel in Colonie, an Albany suburb.>>>

I feel the same way. I mean these kids are supposedly alot smarter now than in the older days yet they are still naive about this kind of stuff. i don't understand. What did she think would happen? I mean, I don't want to say she deserved it, because no one does but you need to use your head and not put yourself in that position. That man needs to be castrated!!

OMG! When he saw that she was only 11, what was he thinking?! She couldn't possibly have known the consequences of doing something like that!

I think she probably knew what would happen. He said she didn't know she was 11. When he found he was younger why didn't he leave???

Exactly Wendy. He may have thought she was older on line but must have realised when he met her that she was under age, she may have been a pyhsically mature 11 year old (the article doesn't say) but she would not have looked 18.

This male deserves to go to jail and have the other inmates told what he is in for. They would just love to have a new punching bag, at least until his stuffing fell out.
