Kate wants her own baby

Kate loves dolls. She is only a baby, but she is constantly trying to get at my decorative dolls. They are rag dolls that I made, but I don't know if they are safe for her. What kind of doll can a baby have? I am concerned about their hair. They have sewed on yarn hair. Steve used fabric paint to draw on the faces, so that's fine. Is there a site for finding safe baby toys?

THey have small cloth dolls for infants. PJ and Emily each have 2 of them, (for a total of 4) and they love them!

I have only given her gender neutral toys. I can't believe she is so drawn to dolls. Thanks Heather. I will try to get her only today. I would prefer she left my dolls alone until I was sure she was old enough to play with them.

Did you get Kate a doll yet? If not, toys'r'us has dolls that don't have hair and the body is very soft. I got Elizabeth one for her birthday. Then Elizabeth's aunt got her a doll that the hands and head is plastic, but the body is soft. I guess that is how many dolls come now. Anyway, just a suggestion.

Oh, yeah, there are tons of infant baby dolls out there. Trust me, I think we have owned at least 1 of each of them after having 3 girls!!! You can pretty much find them anywhere. A lot of times the store will have them in the infant dept (by bottles and all) or on the infant geared isle in the toy section.

I can't believe she wants a doll. I never pushed her that way at all. She has all gender neutral toys. I have to get both Kate and wally some toys. They are driving me batty playing with each other's toys and getting jealous when one plays with the other's toys. The cat is especially jealous seeing the baby play with his stuff.

Did you ever get her a doll? The one I got for Maddie came from Kmart and cost about $5. It is pink and it looks like a baby dressed up like a bunny. Don't feel bad about her wanting a non gender neutral toy. Maddie has dolls and cars...and so does Gavin!
