How many bags of candy?

How many bags of candy do you buy to give to Trick or Treaters? Do you usually have some leftover? Have you ever run out of candy and had to turn kids away?

Last year we were out and that is our plan for this year. If I ran out of candy I would stick a sign on the door. I'd HATE having to tell the little kiddo's to their faces. I think Halloween would break our budget. We're in a virtual sea of apartments around here.

I learned my lesson the first year we were in our house. We ran out of candy TWICE! Finally just turned off all the lights! (didn't wanna go to the store again!) Now I buy about 15 bags. I usually give most of it out. We get ALOT of trick or treaters!

None. We don't get ANY trick or treators. Our first Halloween here I bought candy and no one came. Oh wait, I did chase a kid down the street to give him candy!

We never get trick or treaters either...I will get something for our friend's two little boys...and some baby stuff for our niece and 2 nephews for their first halloween...I will also get something small for my niece and nephew that don't get to go trick or treating because they are jehovahs witnesses...other than that...I'm not getting any

I did buy PJ and Emily a small toy and I got Kimmy (Michelle1's DD, my Goddaughter) a stuffed ghost.

15 bags Michelle? We usually go through 7 or 8 bags and then I Have to turn off all the lights and go to the back of the house to avoid the 'late crowd'

I bought 2 huge bags last night. We always have a ton of kids, so I usually give one piece per child until it gets late. The later it gets, the more the kids get, but I always worry about running out... besides the candy is expensive!! Last year I think we had a few pieces left over.

we don't usually get very many, but we don't put our lights on either. I am using all of the candy from our candy drawer in the kitchen (to create my no fail environment) and what candy that we got from the Parade 3 weeks ago FREE! I have never run out either.
