With Christian being 15 months old we are thinking about taking him this year. We never give him a lot of chocalate but are thinking of doing it because of pictures and such. Does it seem to early or am I just being an excited mother about a new Holiday for him to particpate in?

My brother and I never got to celebrate Halloween when we were little like Christian because my mom hated all the bad things that went on with this holiday...and the meaning with some people of Halloween. We normally did something on HAlloween but it was church related

Austin was 15 months old when he went out. He wasnt walking so it made it kind of tough. We just took him to the grandparents and friends around town. He couldnt really eat the candy, so I helped him!!

We have taken the children every year that they have been born. Last year Emily was only a week old and we borrowed one of those pea pod costumes for her to wear. It was just darling. We usually just go to a church festival that they have on halloween and then to friends and families homes to show off how cute the kiddos look. The boys are getting to the age where they are wanting to wear scarey or ugly guy costumes but no matter how old they get we are not going to allow them to wear those kinds of costumes. I don't like it. Mostly they like to be super heroes like Batman and Superman.

I have taken the girls out every year. Megan didn't go last year, she was two weeks old, her age is not what kept me from taking her it was just that my mother in law was here to see the girls and stayed home with Megan. I just took the girls around the apartment complex here with some friends. My long time friend and her sister drove 45 miles to spend the evening trick or treating with us, my girls loved that! This same friend is having a party geared towards my kids so I can go, (that's so nice of her).

I don't particularly care for the scary yucky costumes either. I think they are intimidating for little ones like mine that don't see that kind of thing. My girls think it's a big costume party for people to dress "nice".

As long as it's not too cold then I think it's okay for the littlest ones to see what's going on. I think most babies enjoy seeing other little kids around, laughing and having fun.

Ethan's barely come into the world and I'm taking him out to show off in his cute little fleece spider costume! I can hardly wait!
But, then, we live in a nice little neighborhood and I'm only going up and down the street with him and maybe around the block. Don't know what your neighborhood is like, though. But nobody's going to give candy to him... and I wouldn't take any, anyways... it's just for the FUN!!! Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN (Samhain)!
