Sausage Macaroni Casserole

1 pound sausage meat
2 cup chopped green pepper
2 cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoons flour
2-1/2 cups canned tomatoes
3-1/2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
1 cup cheese cubes
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preheat the oven to 350-degrees. Shape the sausage meat into 8 patties; fry, slowly until half cooked, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet. Add the pepper and onion; sauté until lightly browned. Stir the flour into fat. Add tomatoes; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add the macaroni, cheese, salt, and pepper; blend well. In 1-1/2-quart baking dish place half the macaroni, then lay 4 sausage patties on top. Add the remaining macaroni and top with remaining sausage patties. Bake for 30 minutes. Serves: 4.
