My Dad

My dad is sick! He has had a stomach problem for almost 20 years, and he found out that his Bile(from in his stomach) is what his problem is. He throws it up, and has to chew 14 packs of gum a day to keep the acids in his stomach(he says it helps)! He was on a medicine for 6 weeks, but it didn't help, so now he may have to have surgery, if it's not to bad already! It could be one of two things causing it to be sooo bad, his gal bladder, or he could have surosis(sp?) of the liver. He didn't sound to good when I talked to him tonight, and he thinks it's already to late for him to survive this, b/c he has unknowingly had it for so long!

I will know more soon, but I am so upset that this is happening!! I just lost my grandfather(his dad) less than 2 yrs ago, and I was very close to him! I don't know if I could handle losing my dad too! So if he is terminally ill, then I will be going home to Virginia, and staying there untill he passes!

I'm to upset to continue this post, so please pray for my dad! I love him sooo much, and I don't want to lose him!

Tara, I will keep you and your father in my prayers. I hope they find out it is something treatable and that your father is able to recover soon.

Just reading this post made my eyes tear up... I know how you feel about the thought of losing your father. Mine is not having problems but I do not know what I would do if he were.

Have the doctors led him to believe that there is such a serious problem or is it his feeling?? I know that my dad gets in his moods where he thinks things like that when it is nothing too bad.

Just keep a positve outlook and be strong for him no matter what is going on!!!!

I will keep him (& you) in my prayers and hope that it is nothing too serious

Oh Tara...I will keep your dad and you in my prayers!!!!!!! I'm hoping it is something the doctors can cure!! Hang in there!! ((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))

Thanks Everyone! I really appreciate it!

These are not his fears, b/c he would walk around with blinders on if he could. It really is that bad, but I will be hoping for the best!

awww....hun I am sorry! I will definatly be keeping you and your dad in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry I did not reply earlier I just have not been in the inlaw board for a long time.

Oh Tara. You know that you and your family (especially Al) are in my prayers nightly. You do what you have to do. And be strong for him, but don't bottle everything up, its not good for you or your baby. I am here if you need me. I hate it that you and your family have to go through this. I was there for my bestfriend when her father died of cancer. I wish I could give you more support. I love ya girl.

Tara, I get so blue when you get blue. I am here for you just call and I listen. I am so sorry about your Dad. Lots of decisions to make, mind boggling. Let us know what is going on. Prayers and Angel prayers for your Dad.
