We've always done clear too. I was just thinking about a change, but maybe next year.

A better question would be what color DON'T we put on the tree!

Not only do we have white lights and multi-colored strands on the tree, we have specialty lights there as well- M&M'S, Carousels, icicle (white), icicle (colored), white diamonds, etc.

Heck, one year we did the front door wreath in chili pepper lights!

The past 2 years the front door wreathe and the door frame have been done in purple garland and balls with silver bells. (Would have had lights if we had anywhere to plug them in!)

This year they had alot of stuff at the 99Cent store, so Bill is doing the whole door and frame in different shades of silver and gold. It's gonna be beautiful!

I like variety, can ya tell?

We have colored on the tree and then white icicle lights out front. And one tree has colored lights...don't ask.

Colored for the tree. DH's choice.

I used to use white lights, pink tinsel and my Precious Moments ornaments with pink bows. It was very pretty, but it was definitely a "girly" tree. Not since I got married, though.
