Worried about all of our spouses!

We need to keep the prayers high for all the military who I feel will have to put their lives in danger soon

My husband's reserve unit has been put on standby as have all reserve units but nothing has happened as of yet! I know ALL military bases are on Threatcon Delta Charlie!

I am so upset and sickened that some stupid people feel they need to prove themselves to be wonderful to their believers but are to cowardly to come out and show themselves! What kind of man does this and hides!!!! A coward does and I truly hope he gets what is coming to him. I am sure that he will because God will do what he sees is fit for this man! But I feel awful for the people who are suffering, died and family members all because of the awful act of a group of people!

Feel free to come here and vent, cry and express your concerns for these men who may have to put their lives at risk!!

The one thing I have been hearing it do not discuss what command, division, whatever your husband is in. Some people think we need to watch what we are saying on the phone about the military because no one wants anything to get out!

I am not sure how serious this is.....I mean about watching what you are saying on the phone but it can't hurt to watch. Obviously these people who are after us know an awful lot! So we should watch what is said...but unforuntaly the media is doing a good job of giving away what the military is doing!

Some people I talk to online have even said that they have been cautioned when they go out with their military stickers on their car. One base even told them to take them off of their car.

Has anyone active duty heard this or been cautioned of things like this?

God bless us all and especially our military. I pray for those that have lost lives. Don't forget to give blood. That's all we can do for now.

-- Oh Wendy -- I hope deep in my heart that nothing happens but it sure looks like we're heading for a long haul.

I have been told that the military are monitoring all phone calls at least on this base. We are in lockdown. If you don't need to get on base then you can't. Schools were shutdown today and their not even allowing mail trucks on base. My husband's shop is on 24 hour coverage and told to have all wills and power of attorney's taken care of. I'm pretty sure most places are operating this way. I'm in the inactive reserves until November and all I can say is that nothing happens so that I will be able to stay home with our kids.

Isn't is scary! The fact that they say we need to have all wills and stuf done is upsetting! I mean I know when we are in the military we run this risk of our spouses going to war. But you never think it will happen!

Sadly I don't believe that some of the military are ready for a war! I mean I know my husband has not been trained for a war since bootcamp. Sure he has been taught to shoot guns and he shoots a grenade launcher but that is all. Even in bootcamp it is not a lot.

He has not heard from his reserve unit but thinks they are waiting for this weekend because it is his reserve weekend I don't want to know what they have in store for him to do.

Last night he was so jittery. He did not want to leave me anc Christian at all for fear that something bad would happen.

He said he will volunteer to go clean up in DC or NYC. His battalion when he was active duty has done stuff like this before. So he said he would definatly help with that!

Lori, I hope nothing does happen and you can stay home. Unfortunatly the same does not pertain to me since I am in the Guard. Sometimes I wonder why I am still in. I have 13 years in, I guess that's why. I just pray that God gives those in command the resources and the knowledge to do the right thing for our country. I don't know what that is but I do know that whatever I am called to do that I will be there. I have two kids at home and I hope that if anything happens to me that they understand why it is that I choose to fight for my country.

I actually feel very calm about all of this and I am not really sure why. I guess with so much else going on (baby2 due 9-20) I am just trying to get thru next week. Dh is actually excited. This is what he has been training for and so on. My only hope is that since he has been TDY for 4 months he will get to come home before anything happens. For once I am thankful that his orders are all screwed up since that means they can't necessarily ship him off as soon as he is done with his school. Dh said the post where he was at was also on lock down and if you didn't have a sticker and ID you couldn't even get on post. They have been pulling them out of class all the time to watch the news. He also said that they are under strict orders that when class is over and they return home or PCS they are only allowed to do so if they have a vehicle..no other form of transportation is allowed.

We're on lockdown over here too. We have had briefings on what to do or say in the community. My dh went to Albania during the war in Kosovo and the exact location was supposed to be unknown, but "thanks to CNN" we figured it out! I just can't understand why the media feels that this info is so vital to the story...they should realize it's compromising the mission.

my 2cents.....
