Prejudiced!

The cheapest ticket Steve's Mom can find to fly back here is $1,000 even with a humanitarian discount. So Dave was asking around the family for everyone to help pitch in. We didn't have the money or Steve definately would have paid for it all if he could. He said why don't you call Joe? He'll help out if he can. Dave said no. Steve asked him why not? I thought you didn't have a problem with him being gay? Dave just himhawed around and mumbled that he didn't want to talk to Joe. Steve asked him why? and he wouldn't say why. We know why.

He didn't even know Joe had moved to Florida! Joe said nobody but Steve really accepted him. It's sad to see he was right. I don't understand how you can be that way towards your own brother? Joe's a really nice guy too.

Her loss too. My MIL could put her little fingers on the keypad and call Joe and ask for his help. but his help comes with the price of accepting him which neither of them is willing to do. Joe was right about them. He said one one accepted him but Steve.

Dave mumbled something about it being typical of this family that Joe did not tell him that he moved. Joe asked us not to tell until he was settled in, so we didn't. He said he wanted to tell everyone about moving himself. He said they didn't deserve to know where he lived because they weren't very nice to him. Of course, his address is plastered all over the world wide web on his business web site which only one minute of searching would turn up, so it wasn't exactly like he was hiding.

But you know what, it sounds like it's better for Joe this way. If they aren't willing to accept him the way he is, it's easier that they don't talk to him. You and Steve do, so he does have some family. Better to not have contact than be ridiculed or treated badly by your own family... JMO

I wish they would keep in mind that Granny is the one who is dying. And Granny tried to teach all her family tolerance. Gay/Bisexual didn't phase her at all. Psst... Here's a secret, her favorite sister was gay. Obviously, she didn't care about people being gay. So if it was up to her, not only would she ask him for the money, she would ask him to come up himself.

As a matter of fact, she used to think it was very funny how all the women in town were constantly trying to get a peep of Steve's cousin also named Steve who is a male stripper, because he sunbathes in the nude. This cousin strips for women but loves men. He is extremely good looking. The women just can't get enough of him and he could care less about them. Granny used to just hoot over that one.
