Listening to the neighbours and thanking

my lucky stars that I am not having a 'caring and sharing' xmas day with all my family around, I so do not miss the back stabbing, b!tching, snapping and snarling that goes on, just hearing next doors is bad enough

Oh yeah and I'm not really listening, more of an incrediably reluctant audience, it is impossible to not hear them but I'm doing my best

I totally understand, Maree. Look who I have for an old sow of a mother! My downstairs neighbors are blasting us with music too.

Meagan, and the real irony is that about 10 minutes after I posted this, the 'discussion' next door hit fever pitch and 2 car loads of 'loving family members' went screeching off up the road (I hope the roads were empty) and didn't come back so it got a lot quieter around here

Now THAT'S finding the silver lining, Meagan!

I bet they were really going at it! I am glad you had a quiet holiday at your house

Now see around here...we would have been outside in our nighties and bare feet waiting for the cops to come...of course we would have had the video camera all poised and ready to go so we could sell it to Fox for their show "When Holidays go bad!"

But seriously...I would have been listening in the whole time and enjoying it because it was not me! I am just evil!

Family and holidays do NOT necessarily go together. I'm glad I've missed out on the last, oh, 15 holidays with my side of the family. My mom is the worst of them.
