Almost cried

Since Granny died, I sent my MIL an e-mail - just a bit of news about Joe, to remind her that although she has lost a mother, she has not lost a son who loves her and wants to be in her life. She said she was always interested in hearing about him, she just didn't agree with his life path. She almost said she loved him. I just about cried. This is the closest she's come to saying she loved Joe since she found out he was gay. of joy!

I reread her e-mail. She did say she loved him. I am thinking of forwarding it to him, because I think he is the one she should be telling that she loves him.

Forwarding the message to him would make him feel good, I'm sure. And you can encourage her to tell him herself.

Because I am a stinker and I think he needs to hear it. I did forward it. Everyone needs to know that their mother loves them. My mother doesn't love me, so I understand that especially well.

I would forward it to him. Give him a little happiness and maybe that would open the door for them.

That was very nice of you to forward that on to Joe. I am sure it made his day and maybe one day soon she can tell him in person.
