I just joined Netflix

We rent videos ALOT but our rental place is 20 min out of the way so we frequently have late fees.
I am a member of a reward site that had Netflix as one of it's sponsors so I decided to take a look at it.
It seems really cool. You can rent up to 3 movies at a time with free priority shipping for $20 a month. I figure that I only need to rent 3 movies twice in one month to make that worth it but the cool part is that you keep a queue of all the movies you want to see and then you give each one a priority ranking. You can return all 3 and get the next 3 automaticly or you can just return 1 or 2 and get the next few on your list. I like that it is automatic so that way you don't forget to request more and waste time that you could have movies.
They have thousands of movies to choose from including new releases.
I'm on a 2 week free trial right now and I can't wait to start getting my movies!!

I have thought about it but we don't rent that opften.

I've thought about it but we don't rent too often either. Actually we go in spurts so maybe Netflix wouldn't be such a bad idea. Let me know how it works out Elaine!

We've had it for 2 years and it is awesome! They recently got an address in Chattanooga so now we are getting the movies in the mail the next day. We love it!

I have Netflix now. I pay extra to have five dvds at a time, so I can have PG-13 and R rated movies for me and DH and still have dvds onhand for the kids to watch. I really liked it in the beginning, but I'm starting to have mixed feelings about it. When I first joined, my dvds were mailed from Lansing, MI and took two days to get to me. Now they come from Cleveland, and I've had dvds take up to a week to get here. The other problem I've had is getting new releases. I put them at the top of my queue, and I still don't get them until weeks later. For example, I put Bruce Almighty at the top of my queue before it was released in November. Even though it was at the top, I still wasn't able to get it until it just a few days ago. The thing I love about Netflix is not having to make a special trip into town to return dvds.

I put Uptown girls at the top of my queue and it says "short wait" next to it and then my next 3 movies say that they are available to ship but they won't get sent until Monday.
I don't know where mine are getting mailed from yet to know how long it will take but priority isn't supposed to take anymore than 3 days.

Sounds like a great company. I have never heard of it or others like it before

it only takes five minutes to get to our local blockbuster, so not really something we need.
except we have tons of late charges cuz we forget to return them...

SOunds great, but we don't rent very often!

i use net flix too. i love how quick and easy the shipping is. i also love the selection. they have every movie out there. so much more than a store would.

I did the trial and I liked it, but we don't rent that often.

I am going to sign up for this and 'give' it to Johnny as a birthday present. He likes renting movies more than I do. We don't really rent that often but I think that it is still worth the $20 a month considering we generally end up paying late fees anyway. Thanks for telling me about this Elaine!

We have had it for a while now and LOVE IT!!!! We were always paying late fees so that it 100% better for us.

Oh Krista--they mail from St Louis to us so you usually get the dvd the very next day.

That is odd Roxanna. They have a section to report postage problems. I'm not sure where though.
We have already gotten 3 movies from them and shipped two of them back.
My only big problem is that I don't like watching older movies and there aren't many new releases I haven't seen right now. Mike and the kids will happily watch older stuff though.
I'm waiting on American Wedding and Underworld right now.

I had it for about a year and loved it, but I canceled it when Jonas was born because I was busy with a new baby and my SIL (who was dying at the time). I would like to pick it up again sometime soon.

Thanks Elaine .. I'm gonna head over there and see what I can do

Go to your queue and under "movies you have out" there is a little link that says report shipping problems or something like that.

Did you know that you can also look up movies yet to be released and save them in your queue so that you will be on the list when they do come out.

I'm on the list for Radio, Matrix Revolutions, Return of the King, and Brother Bear.

Elaine, I have been looking all over for movies that are due out soon. Where did you find it?
Yup.... We had Netflix for a while and I loved it. We got rid of it b/c DH didn't get to watch as many of the DVD's as I did. Whatever....

As a program, I really liked it!
I just got Pirates of the Carribean and Alex and Emma last night. Net Flix delivered really fast!!

I"m still thinking about it...it's funny, I've been sitting here loking at their website for 10 minutes trying to decide if I should or not!
Ok I signed up for it!

We had this for a long time and it. Really it was great. I never had a problem getting the new releases. We even got Scooby Doo the same day it came out in the video stores. My DDs were quite happy.
