Welcome to the first day of a new astrological month! Although the Moon is still in earthy Capricorn today, we get to say hello to eclectic Aquarius as the Sun enters this mid-winter sign. Aquarius is a futuristic sign and as such, we begin to think about the spring, even if it's still far away. In other cosmic news, fiery Mars--making his way through his own sign of Aries--now forms a harmonious trine aspect with Pluto, the King of the Underworld. We feel the power but must use it with good intentions or it can get the best of us.

ARIES (March 20–April 19):

Mars is your planet, and is now moving through your sign. Today, Mars picks up the incredible force of Pluto and you could have more energy than you know what to do with. You can be a positive force for change now, but you'll need to be careful about how you move forward. If you try to control others for your own good, reality will come back at you and make you pay for your greed. If, however, you can work for the good of all, today's energy can take you for quite a ride.



TAURUS (April 20–May 20):

You could be receiving messages from the deepest parts of your own subconscious mind, but the problem is that these messages may not arrive in words you can understand. This isn't about language at all. It's about trusting your own physical instincts, which are now quite strong. Don't just succumb to your physical needs. Sensual gratification might feel good in the moment, but you won't necessarily have something that will last. Your satisfaction will be greater if you apply your energy toward acquiring meaning rather than pleasure.



GEMINI (May 21–June 20):

Clouds continue to lift as your vision widens to the new vistas. There is still an undertow of deeper emotional issues that have not fully come to the surface, but your life is undoubtedly on the move. Don't be afraid to ask friends and associates to help you get what you need. This is a great time for you to utilize your network of support--from casual acquaintances to those closest to you. You can work with the power of others without necessarily giving up your own.

CANCER (June 21–July 22):

You can effectively wield your power in public now without offending others. They will do your bidding, as long as you don't try to coerce them for your own selfish gains. This is a test of your integrity. You'll need to be careful about moral or political self-righteousness. How well you stand up to this challenge may be an indicator of what is yet to come. Recognize your limitations, but don't let them prevent you from realizing your potential.



LEO (July 23–August 22):

As the Sun enters Aquarius--where it will be for the next 30 days--light is shined upon all aspects of relationships in your life. You are still in a period of transition, where your own routines can prevent you from being as free as you'd like to be. But things are changing, especially in the area of love. You have more certainty than before. And you have the wherewithal to manifest your heart's desire. Just be careful about hurting someone that you love as you push toward getting what you want.



VIRGO (August 23–September 22):

You could be getting glimpses of your own future, and it may not be all that comfortable. You have some hard work in front of you, but if you can find a way to pace yourself, you'll be able to get what you need out of these current circumstances. Perhaps you've been restrained with respect to expressing your feelings as you build a foundation to a new relationship. Your feelings may be so intense that it's difficult to hold them back. You'll need to find the right level of expression, for if you try to hide them under a rug, something will break loose anyhow.

LIBRA (September 23–October 22):

If you've been feeling like you want to change the world, you could start by changing the dynamics of your own personal relationships. It's not that anything is especially wrong with the way you are currently working with others, but you now have a chance to improve even the best of situations. You may not be able to get as far as you'd like, but your persistence will pay off in the long run. Don't let discouragement stop you from what you have to do.



SCORPIO (October 23–November 22):

Your two key planets--Mars and Pluto--are in their most harmonious relationship now. You can make changes more easily, even if it has been difficult in the past. You have the force of your own convictions pushing you forward with the intensity of a tidal wave. This wave will not come crashing down upon you. Instead, it will move you along in the very direction you need to go. But it's not going to be all fun and games. You're going to have to do your part, which will certainly include hard work.



SAGITTARIUS (November 22–December 21):

You can get away with being more forceful now than you usually are, partly because you are in the groove. You still feel glued to the structure you've created in your life, but something is now different. You are getting a new sense of what may come next--and it's more exciting that what you are currently doing. Although you are ready to push into new ground, much of your work may be more internal than external. You cannot change the world around you, but you can change how you react to it. A simple intention to change yourself can then have secondary effects. Soon you will be watching the unchangeable situations begin to shift.



AQUARIUS (January 20–February 18):

The Sun has entered your birth sign, making this your astrological birthday month. Rituals, like blowing out the candles on a birthday cake, have solid grounding in ancient spiritual practices. You don't, however, have to wait for your exact birthday to make a wish--for every day this month holds the potential for your dreams to come true. Today is particularly propitious. Consciously guide your thoughts toward thinking about what you want to accomplish. The mind can do anything and you may be surprised at what happens if you give voice to your intentions today.



PISCES (February 19–March 19):

You've been wearing a rather practical hat these days, which has kept you from flying around through the realms of your imagination. Now, it's time to push yourself through the eye of the needle. You won't be able to go back, but you will be free from what has been preventing you from taking the next step.
