7 going on 16

My little girl is grown up and I don't know when it happened.
She came out of her room this morning all dressed for school in a trendy little outfit with her hair twisted up in a bun and chop sticks and asked me for some hairspray.
I swear just last week I was pulling her hair into a ponytail in the morning and telling her what matched and what didn't.
MY BABY DOESN'T NEED ME ANYMORE!!!!

Do they start doing their own hair at 7? I don't think I could handle that. I want my baby girl to stay a little girl forever!!! She's almost 2 and can feed herself and do all these things by herself...

I feel for you Elaine...hey...lock her up in her room...maybe she won't grow up so fast

I think that is a good idea Sandy!
I'll have to clear out all the Bratz, make-up, and MaryKate and Ashley stuff though.
Maybe if I lock her in their with nothing but My Little Ponies, Baby dolls, and Care Bears she'll stay little.
