Wednesday, my inlaws asked if Jonathan could come over last night (Thursday). He usually spends Friday nights with them, but since they were leaving today to go to Florida, that wouldn't be possible this week, plus they will be gone for over a week and wanted to see him before they left. OK. Fine. Well, we got to drop him off and I find out they're expecting him to spend the night with them. Uh. OK. I haven't packed him any clothes or anything and they have to take him to Debbie tomorrow (today). FIL said that was OK. He'd take MIL to work in Dayton this morning and then take Jon Jon to Debbie. I told DH I didn't think it was a good idea, but he said it would be fine.
Well, I talk to DH at 10:30 this morning and his dad is on his way to come and get him to go run some errands and visit some of the elderly people from church before they leave. (DH is taking them to the airport.) So, I call FIL to ask what time he took Jonathan to Debbie, so I know how much to pay her. Well, I hear squealing in the background. HE'S STILL GOT THE KID!!!!! Lunch is at 11 and nap time is at 11:30. And he still wasn't planning on taking him until after he went to the bank, the cleaners, and about three other places. What in the crap was he doing all morning????? Karen went to work at 8!!!! I told him if he didn't get him to Debbie's ASAP that he was gonna miss luncha nd interrupt everyone's naps. So, FIL says, "well, Bobby can watch him." Uh--not if you're doing church stuff. FIL says "good point". So, I have to call Deb and tell her that Ihave no idea what's wrong with FIL, but she'd not getting Jon until 11 AM. I don't think she was happy, but she knew I was ticked at FIL, so at least she wasn't mad at me. In the mean time, FIL calls DH and is griping at him about me telling him to take him to Debbie's ASAP. Wants DH to come over there right away. (Like DH doesn't have a life apart from his dad... DH is in the middle of packaging and shipping computer stuff and says No.) Anyhow. So, FIL comes and gets him later (after he finally takes Jonathan.) and says they'll go visit this elderly couple then come back to the house before they go get his mom. Well, I talk to DH at 4PM and they're in LensCrafters. What the heck for???? They never made it on visitation, and they're not coming back to the house. They're heading straight for MIL's work and then to the airport. What a pain in the
. He didn't do ANYTHING he was supposed to do today. Plus, since they didn't come back to town, Mom Mom's gift is still sitting on our sofa. 
I call DH and tell him, "You know you forgot Mom Mom's gift." And he gets all upset over it. "I know! I'm well aware of it! But Mr. "I don't give any details" never told me we weren't coming back home!" blah, blah, blah.... And I hear his mom and dad both griping in the background.
I sat here and ate 7 pieces of chocolate while I was typing this. Can you tell I'm frustrated?
I TOLD THEM this wasn't a good idea, but does anybody listen to the little boy's Mommy? NOOOOOOOOO.... 
I am so glad they're gone for a week.
It will be so nice to have peace and harmony for a while.
