Ok, so if y'all remember me saying that Billy's parents were sending my kids gifts??? Well they got here today, and while I wasn't expecting a truck load of gifts, I was REALLY surprised to find this small box and inside were 2 hot wheels cars for the boys and this small (maybe the size of my hand) doll for Olivia. That was the box of goodies for the kids?!?! I must have a different definition of "goodies". And they have another grandkid (the one they claim) and she has SOOOO much cr*p that they've bought her, (half of it stays at their house so I have seen it) I was shocked to see how pathetic this box was. The good news is that I told them that they had a small surprise because they've been so good about going to school everyday while I subbed and I gave it to them.... They'll be broken by morning, I'm sure.... How petty am I?

Gee, bet it set them back all of $5.00 total...including the postage! How on earth did you resist just throwing it all in the trash??

That's sad! They spent $3 on their grandkids?! I would be ASHAMED to send a gift like that!

Well Heather, you have to remember, they don't acknowledge my kids as their grandkids. They've seen them a handful of times, Olivia only once. They don't even know her birthdate. And she's the only one that is biologically related! I didn't throw it out cuz I knew they'd play with it, but they think I bought it. NO WAY am I explaining that mess. As it is, they think Billy's grandparents are his parents. Now they act like it! Oh well, I guess I got my panties in a knot over nothing... Ah, but I love the drama....

You know it would be one thing if they sent packages regularly and just tossed this in for the kids...but if this was supposed to be the thing that helped to mend the fence..oh please...

I wish I could share my grandparents with your kids Dana...because that is sooo not right. Plus I have a foot that would like to meet up with Billy's parents....it's really itching to...can it???

Granted I feel that a gift is a gift ... but on this note I totally agree with you!!!!! CHEAP!!! Seriously ... about $5 total -- its almost like why bother!!!

I feel for you. DH's mother is the same way. Actually - she's worse. MUCH worse. But... it still stinks.
