While I was at my SIL's house she was telling me a story that one of her friend's had done.
Let me give you the background of what happened years ago.
During the civil war in Pontotoc MS there was a, I guess, slave that during the night he would stand guard with a latern and watch for the enemy. He walked around in this field by the house. One night he heard the enemy coming and he ran to the house to warn the people. Before he could make it to the house...he was trambled to death by the horses. He eventually made it to the house, but he later died.
My SIL's friend worked his nerve up to go...so he and 3 guys and 3 girls went one night. They got out of the truck and was standing around and then they saw the latern in the field. Well, they noticed that the latern(light) was getting closer. So they jumped in the truck, but the truck wouldn't start. The girls were in the floor of the truck screaming, but the light got closer and closer. Finally the truck started, but it wouldn't go anywhere...they heard horses galloping over the motor of the truck. The light kept getting closer!!!! Finally the light disappeared and and the truck was able to move.
The guy is still scared to this day!!!
