I had seen these before but I wasn't sure how they were made. I got these directions from a lady on one of my mailing lists. I may try to make some this evening.

Last year we made a pumpkin out of fall fabric (we chose a fun Halloween type, leaves, and a cornucopia one) and toilet paper.

I am going to try to explain from memory - I can't find my print out from last year (I think someone on a list sent me the idea, so if you are out there....send it in). It is very easy.

Roll of toilet paper (not double roll)

cotton batting (wrap around the toilet paper)

Square of fabric (I think it was a 2'x2' square....it has to be big enough to sit the toilet paper and batting on top of and tuck into the center while making folds as you go around the toilet paper; this will give it a "pumpkin" appearance)

brown lunch bag (twist and fold in half.....tuck down inside the t-p hole to hold the fabric in and make the stem)

raffia (tie around the paper bag stem for decoration)
