Somebody please try to explain this to me because I can't figure it out. I know I posted about pigging out yesterday and ya'll probably all read that. Well, I must say that for this month especially I have, with the exception of MAYBE 2 or 3 times, been soooo careful with my eating habits. I mean, I have seriously worked at only eating when I am hungry and watching my portions and what not.
Anyway, I had my checkup today and this was the first time I was going to the doctor and not actually dreading the weighing because my scale said I only gained about 2-3 pounds this month. Well, according to the scale at my doctors office, I have gained 7 pounds since my last visit. I told them there was no way. I have been monitoring my weight at home and I explained that I knew I had only gained 3 pounds at the most.
My doctor came and checked out the scale and it was WAY OFF BALANCE. So, he said he would fix it and then I could weigh again. Yep! It still said 7 pounds.
GUys, I am trying not to let this get to me. MY scale at home has to be right. It weighs my daughter the same as she weighed 2 weeks ago when she was sick and I had to take her to the doctor. And it ways my hugely obese husband and shows that he is losing the weight he has been trying to lose. I was being sarcastic here about his weight. He only wieghs 173 and is 6'.
The only explanation that I can come up with is that there scale was so off at my last visit that it did not weigh me enough or something so the 3 pounds I really did gain only seems like 7 pounds.
I am not sure if my doctor believes me about my scale at home but he didn't act like he didn't. All he said when I mentioned it to him was that 7 pounds is a little more than he likes to see in a month but just not to worry about it. That is wasn't the end of the world and it doesn;t really matter anyway. So, he was really sweet.
Sorry this is long. I am just going to have to not worry about what I weigh at the office and just watch it at home where I know I am getting a more accurate reading.
So I am just going to say that I have gained 23 pounds and not 27!
