Dari-Del Dairy, 2456 Broad Street, Frankfort, New York 13340 is recalling packaged fluid milk products distributed in the Utica area due to the presence of antibiotics.
The product label reads ”Dari-Del Dairy” and contains processing plant code 36-5125. The products subject to recall include homogenized milk and reduced fat milk in both gallon and half-gallon plastic containers. This recall pertains to all packages with a sell by date indicated by “APR 05.”
The packaged fluid milk products are being recalled because of the presence of beta-lactam antibiotics. People who are sensitive to beta-lactam antibiotics run the risk of allergic reactions if they consume these products. Beta-lactam antibiotics include penicillin, amoxicillin, ampicillin, cephapirin, ceftiofur, and cloxacillin.
The milk products of concern were distributed at Dari-Del Dairy and other retail stores in the Utica area.
The recall was initiated after contaminated product was discovered through routine sampling and testing by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
Consumers who have purchased this product are advised not to consume the product and to return it to the place of purchase for a cash refund or replacement.
