What would you do?

Conor is planing his 8th birthday party this week. He found a postcard he liked, with a whale on it and got Doug to photo copy it. He did all the writing on it, I just helped him figure out what to write. i made sure my phone # and name were on it.

I was telling my best friend about this yesterday and she said "oh really, when we get invitations like that, we just toss the out and ignore them" i could not believe someone would just do that. Now she's got me worried because I have only heard back from a couple of people.

Oh ya, her DH is a graphic artist and they spend months planning their childrens' invites.

What???? Her comment has to be the dumbest I have heard.

I would think that an invitation that the child "designs" would be the best (and that is pretty much my understanding that he did).

I am sorry but I think she is being totally ignorant about it.

Hopefully , not all people are as clueless and ignorant as she sounds ! JMO - I think that was a very rude thing for her to say.

When is the party ?

to her, I think that it would be more special if a child created their own invites.
