And why didn't you tell me this on Friday?

Haley woke up this morning and told me "Mommy, my Indian project is due today." We had worked on it last week but it wasn't in the least bit finished.
She had to make a log cabin and show how Cherokee Indians lived.
Talk about panic mode, I was scrambling all over looking for my hot glue gun that I hadn't used in eons. I never found it so we ended up taping everything together. It shows in a few places but Haley was overall happy with how it looked.
Then I had to drive her up to school because she missed the bus trying to put this thing together.
She said something about "next time I forget" and I told her there had better not be a next time.

What a rush. Glad you got it done. Kids are notorious for stuff like that. Mykayla does it all the time too.

There wasn't actually all that much to do.
She had to make a log cabin and we had already cut all the carboard pieces and done all the drawing. We really only needed to cut the mat down for it to sit on, glue the "grass" down, connect and tape all the pieces, and then glue the thatch to the roof. We ended up taping everything but it doesn't look half bad.
We had planned on putting up a few trees around the cabin too but that didn't happen in the 20 minutes we had.

Good save, Mom.

I'd definitely be ready to though!
