Can your child swim?

None of mine can yet. If we had regular access to a pool I think that Gavin would get it down this summer. He was pushing off and gliding last summer.

nope not yet. She tries to swim in the bathtub though. If i had more $$ I would get her in at the Y again this year. she had so much fun last year!

Alexandria can swim a little. She passed the first level of swimming lessons, but I wouldn't feel comfortable with her going into deep water without an adult with her. She doesn't want to take lessons anymore, but I told her she has to take them until she can dive off the diving board and swim the length of the pool. William is also going to take lessons this summer.

I can't swim, and I want to make sure all my kids learn how to.

Cori can. Hailey was supposed to be in lessons at the Y this cycle but she is not (long story that makes me very angry--at THEM). She will be by the end of this summer though even if I am the one who has to teach her. She loves that water and is very comfortable in it. We are planning on going to the pool DAILY when it opens up at the end of the month. Oh, and after the pool opens, they have lessons there for members so I am gonna HOPEFULLY get her in there.

Chelsey kinda can but not good enough for me to feel comfortable....They don't have lessons around here so I don't know what I'm gonna do.

Both of my boys can swim. They taught themselves with very little help from me. They can even swim underwater like pros!
Emily can doggie paddle a lil bit but I am betting that she will be a lil pro by summer end as well.
Hey JenS, we go to the pool TONS in the summer-we will hafta hang out if you promise not to tell anyone how bad I look in a swimsuit!LOL!

Kirstie-Raie and Chase cansince we spend most of the summer on the lake or in the water somewhere. They are like fish inthe water!! Kale is getting there ... won't be long now.

We just took our first swim class on Saturday. Jimmy loved it by the end of the class his was floating on his back while I craddled him.

Indoor pool of course and heated to a very nice 86 degrees.

My older 3 can all swim. Emmy is 5 and doggie paddles herself in a lake but when we og to the pool she has a jacket and paddles all over. Ash is learning to put her face in the water and floating a little on her belly in the tub.
We are not around water very much but they all learn fairly swift.
