Shock, outrage over prison photos

I heard that last night on the news and was totally disgusted that American soldiers are doing this!

You know I understand when it comes to defending yourself but this is uncalled for and these people better get called on their actions. Other countries already think badly enough about us, what is this going to do?

I guess in the father's eyes he will always be perfect then. In my eyes this man is FAR from perfect. Some people just get high on their power trip I guess.

I think the soldiers involved in this have NO IDEA of the extent of the repercussions that this is going to cause - not only for themselves, but for all other soldiers and civilians!!

I agree, Lisa!

Also, doesn't this go against something that was signed in the Geneva Convention or something similar?

Yes, it does.

LOL--you are probably right, Liz. He said he was afraid to show them but he wasn't afraid to take them?

Sounds like some of the things that happened in Vietnam. I am glad we are the point of realizing that the folks on the other side are people and should be treated as required by the Geneva Convention. I know this sounds weird, but during the Vietnam War stuff like this happening to the Veitnamese people would have passed with a big "so what?" I'm sure it didn't do much for our popularity then either. No matter what the other side is doing, we should still behave in a manner we can be proud of.
