Well that is a bummer

I bought Haley a bunch of cute clothes on clearance last fall for her to wear this summer. I got sz 7 since she was in a 5/6 last summer. A 6 was too short for her in pants but with shorts and skirts that doesn't matter so much.
It is getting hot here during the day so we pulled them all down yesterday and had her try them on.
Not a single pair of shorts or skirt that I bought fits her. They all either sag really low on her hips or fall straight to her ankles. I have 6 pairs of new shorts, 3 skirts, and a pair of capris that I will have to hold onto another year and hope that by the time they fit her waist they don't look hoochy because they are too short.
That really sucks. I thought I did so good buying on clearance and I wasn't going to have to buy much of anything this summer. Now I realize that I will have to buy everything still. Looks like we will be buying elastic waisted things this year.

That does suck. Where did you buy them? Is there anyway you could take them back for an exchange?

Can you use a belt?

I could return them probably but it wouldn't be worth it since I bought most of them for $1- $3

2 pairs of the shorts have beltloops I think.

We have the same problem -- I have to buy Jessi 10's in shirts so they cover her waste because 7 or 8's hang off her scrawny butt. Sixes fit her fine in the waist, but look like Daisy Dukes on her with her long legs! I can't win!
