Fabric Ghost Pins

You will need:
Squares of muslin
strips of orange or black gingham material
black fine point marker
small safety pins
cotton balls or pillow stuffing

Cut a 6 inch square from the muslin. Pinking shears
work well, but you can use regular sewing scissors
as well. Cut your strips of material about 1/4 inch
wide and 6-8 inches long, depending on if you are
tying a bow or a knot. Lay your square down and
place your cotton balls or small amount of stuffing
in the middle of the square. Gather it up pulling the
material fairly tight over the stuffing so it's smooth
enough to draw the eyes and mouth. Tie with your
strip of material tightly. You may have to straighten
your little ghost out after it's tied and adjust it slightly.
Use the fine point marker to draw two eyes and
a mouth-I keep my ghosts cute and friendly. Attach
a small safety pin to the back of the head and give
as gifts to teachers, kids, Grandma or wear one
yourself during October!
