Alphabetical Listing of the 50 states

I'm trying to help Jessi learn her states. First we are going to just learn them alphabetically, then we'll work on spellings. Does anyone know where I can find a list of them?

I'm also re-learning my 50 states again (and who said I'd never need to be able to list them again alphabetically in my life?). I must admit though, getting them off the top of my head may not be the safest. We're working on the "M" states and I'm sad to say that I completely forgot about you Missouri ladies. Hope she doesn't show her teacher the list I wrote out to help her! LOL

Anyone know where I can find a list? Might not hurt to have the capitals too, although I think it's a bit early for her.

This one is better! The ones that are all capitalized you kind of 'shout' the name!!

LOL it'd be easier if I could sing it! LMAO

I NEVER thought I'd ever be using this song again!! LOL Now I can't get it out of my head!!!

Lol Robyn! I used songs and sayings all the time to remember things in school.
Haley looked at me like I was a freak the other day when I told her about "My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas".

We had this tape when I was a kid of "They Might Be Giants" singing space songs. In ninth grade while I was taking Earth Sciences I used lines from one of the songs to answer a test question...
"The sun is a mass of incandescent gas (a gigantic nuclear furnace) where hydrogen is built into helium at temperatures of millions of degrees."

So I'm NOT crazy, right Elaine? LOL

Ohhh.. That was the easiest way to remember the Solar System!!!!

How cool! I wish I could hear it to music. DOn't think I've ever heard it.

I know what you mean about using songs to remember stuff. Who hasn't used any of the School House Rock song to remember stuff? Especially the Preamble to the Constitution!
