Father's Day '04 .. What is dear old dad getting?

What are you getting your dad this year for Father's Day? What are the kids getting DH? What about gramps?

We're celebrating today actually since the kids and I will be in San Antonio on the real date. I only get Billy a card, he's not my dad. The kids got him a card and they all signed it. (too cute) and then we bought the stepping stone cement packs at Michaels and we did handprints. We do this every 2 years to see the changes. Then I bought visors and those foam letters and we wrote I love Daddy on the brim and they were wearing them when they woke him up. The sitter will be here in a few hours and he and I are going to the movie of his choice.... (much better than my day, of course! )

Matt is getting a card from Austin and Dylan (much more than what I got from the boys! ) And i'm going to buy him a magazine rack for the bathroom! LOL I'm sick of all the ESPN , Maxim, Blender and Stuff magazines all over my bathroom floor!!

My Dad.. I'm gonna get him a card from me, and one from the boys. I'm gonna take him out for lunch (cheaper) and I'm gonna buy him a new pair of jeans. All of his blue jeans are yucky from truck driving.

Matts dad.. hmm.. LOL Never even crossed my mind actually. We'll probably take him out for dinner and a card from the boys. I don't konw. It's matts dang dad. LOL i don't particularly care!

Billy's dad will probably get taken out to dinner since that's what we did for his mom. Or maybe Billy will take him for a round of golf.

As for what Billy will get - nothing from me personally but the kids will most likely do the hand & footprint cards/pictures like they did last year. It's neat to see how big they get from year to year. And Alexander will help me make his daddy breakfast in bed and Billy has said he wants to go fishing so I'll suggest he and Alexander do that that evening.

With Mumtoboo here!!!

Same thing he got me... Big fat nothing!

(*** probably change my mind and make him feel like crap ***)

Don't change your mind, Jan! He won't feel like crap because he's a man. Next year will roll around and once again he'll get you nothing for Mother's Day. Let him have a lousy day like you did, although I doubt he will because, once again, he's a man. If the kids on their own do something for him, that's wonderful of them. But you don't do a thing!!

I have no idea yet....any ideas, lol?

I have absolutely no idea. Money is so tight we can't afford to pay attention

I give up on having the kids make him shirts....Liz has made him 2, and he never wears any of them He says they are too special to wear....but HECK that is what we made the bloody things for!!!

I was gonna do a photo mousepad of Livia to give to him, but he doesn't use a mouse with his laptop.

Maybe a mug or something.

There has to be SOMEONE creative out there!!
